Yes, the old days of outbound marketing are long gone but, unfortunately, many online businesses have yet to figure this out. These misinformed entities are still using techniques to spam in the form of unsolicited phone calls, text messages, emails, letters in the mail, etc. They have also been known to use blogging platforms as a means of spamming us with their marketing deals, parroting such phrases as “game changer,” “you must get on board now!” and others.
What they fail to realize is that blogging platforms are not for spamming. They are for attracting your potential clients/customers by gradually establishing rapport, trust, and authority with them. Blogging also serves as a means to provide useful, relevant, and current content that pertains to your company’s product while also appealing to your potential target audience/clientele base. What do I mean by this?
For example: You are a new small business and your product is tires. Before you even begin to start marketing your product (in this case, tires), consider the following:
*Establish yourself with your potential customer base by making sure you can be easily found online
*Make sure your online professional profiles are congruent with you and your company’s mission
*Make sure you have a current, professional photograph that clearly shows your face
*Ensure that your certifications/credentials are highlighted
* Consider blogging about your product and how it relates to your potential customer base.
Potential blog topics include (using our above example of tires):
What is tire rotation and how often does it need to be done?
What is a “pot hole”? What causes them? Why are they dangerous? What to do if you hit a pothole?
Why is tire tread important?
What cities in the US are more prone to potholes and what can you do to decrease your risk of running over one?
What is a “tire blowout”? What causes them and how can you avoid them?
What is the range/average price of tires (used v. old) and how does your company stack up against other related companies?
Is it starting to become a bit clearer? Remember, we are in a more data-driven era then ever before. We all want to have as much information about each other as possible in order to establish rapport and trust. We all need to be easily found online. This includes having a current professional photo of yourself which should include your face. We all need to have our credentials, education, certifications, etc easily discovered in order to establish credibility. We need to inform our potential clients/audience/customers on what it is that we “do” while providing useful, relevant content to these potential customers through use of social media (blogging, blog-sharing, blog-casting, virtual conference rooms, marketing campaigns to name a few).
Change is hard but if you identify yourself as an entrepreneur, then it is absolutely imperative that you fully comprehend the concept of inbound marketing. This methodology will increase your online credibility and your online authority while strengthening your rapport with potential clients/customers, etc. This will significantly increase the chance that your target audience will trust you and what you have to say.
Ultimately, the assumption is that you will build a loyal customer base and if your product is really great, then they will keep coming back for more and they will tell their friends, colleagues, etc about it. Because you took the time to establish credibility and online authority through implementation of the above, you will have accomplished two things: positive word-of-mouth references from your loyal customers (more subjective) and a legitimate “place” for those who do not yet know you or your business well to easily find you to verify the information (more objective).
I have been given the task of reviewing a piece of software, mainly due to my technical skills and the fact that I am a software developer myself .. for over 30 years .. wow .. scary stuff when I actually write it down.
So here goes …..
The company behind this makes various claims that the software will save you time.
It does this by automating various tasks to grow and develop relationships (or associates as they are called) within the IBOTOOLBOX community.
However, there are some major issues with the software, which I will expand upon.
IBOToolbox is one of the most popular social sites for network marketers and home business owners.
The platform offers a variety of ways for network marketers to promote and grow their online businesses.
One of the best ways to leverage IBOToolbox, is to use it as a long-term relationship building platform to drive traffic to your content.
1. Finding new associates
2. Responding to new associate requests from others
3. Replying to messages
4. Posting to the wall
5. Sending messages
As you see the list above indicates that there is all the normal functions that would help you grow your network.
There are some issues though, the main one is that for each task you want to do, it first makes sure you are logged out and then logs you back in.
This is pretty stupid in my opinion … this procedure done each time you want to perform one of those tasks is setting you up to be terminated. No real person would do that and is therefore not mimicking a real user … the systems at IBO would easily spot this and often do … AND RESULTS IN ACCOUNT SUSPENSION
The delay between messages being sent or wall posts made is also a recipe for disaster … allow 2 or 5 minutes between each one is also guaranteed to have your ACCOUNT SUSPENDED
The software shows the browser session within the applications window. The response time when navigating around is extremely slow.
VERDICT: 1 OUT 10
I would not recommend buying this product … not unless you want your ACCOUNT SUSPENDED.
The number one reason is not because of the product, not because of the company, and not because they woke up that morning and said "I'm going to join a Network Marketing Company today." The Number One reason is YOU! What is your responsibility in this picture? What is your responsibility in order to help your new distributor grow a six figure annual income?
You are the reason for your distributors success. If you want to grow a six figure per year income you must know how to attract new people to your team. You're team members are buying you not the company. Many times network marketers do not take this part seriously and after a brief period the new distributor quits.
Why did they quit? Because you didn't build that relationship and were out looking for the next distributor. The responsibility is huge and must always be in the mind of the team builder. I'll say it again, "People don't join network marketing for products [although that helps], or the company, they join because of you". You must build the relationship and appreciate the person whether they join your business or not. I know many network marketers who love you when they get income from you, and will not have anything to do with you when they don't. Don't be one of these! People who join you, do it for a reason.
They are looking for your many assets that they saw in you;
Your ability to lead
If you are new to network marketing, others will not know what you don't know unless you tell them, but will look to you to lead them to wealth and happiness. If you can't do it, get your sponsor to do it. if you are in a network marketing company and your sponsor has quit, keep reaching up and find someone who knows what to do. They will help you! You should use your sponsor for at least 90 days when you join a company in order to learn what to do and not to do.
Years ago people served apprenticeships to learn before they were able to fly solo. This is no different, you have to learn so you can be good at it. Network Marketing is like any other profession you must learn it to be good at it. Take the time to learn!
Build the Relationship
Don't woo your potential distributor to join in the first meeting, it's like dating and expecting to have sex on the first date. if you are successful on the first date you know what type of person you will end up with. if you barf information all over them right away they will not respect you. Build the relationship and make sure that your prospect is right for the company. To many times people are persuaded to join a company and they end up being duds. If you have a team that is doing nothing you will not make any money, it's a simple fact.
Create a mechanism to deliver information about your company over time. I think the internet term is DRIP information to the potential team member and let them get comfortable with it. Build the relationship and drip information at the same time and you will end up with a good team member but if you rush it you will end up with a person who is not happy. Believe me there are many unhappy people that have been worked over by the network marketing business model and don't trust it. Please don't create more of them.
In Conclusion, make sure you nurture your prospect and build that relationship. While building the relationship make sure that you school them in the company, products, and the network marketing business model and teach them how to do the same with their prospects. To make a six figure income you must present your company to 1 person per day, which is 365 people per year, which will give you ample amounts of people you are exposing to your team and business. Anything short of this will not work.
20 Untapped Network Marketing Tips, Secrets, and Strategies
Internet Basics: Provide value, build a list, take action, be a leader and well branded.
How about some tips, secrets, and strategies that are a little more strategic, untapped, and actionable?
1. The Online Guerrilla Marketing Method Of PR
Believe it or not, word-of-mouth marketing is still one of the most powerful ways to promote network marketing products.
In fact, most multi-million dollar MLM companies were built via word-of-mouth, and that was back in the 60s.
These days, with the internet (and a little creativity), you can get the word out on a MASSIVE scale.
Send your products to bloggers for them to review.
A while ago, I was looking into an MLM company called “In A Pikle” and stumbled across this In A Pikle product review:
The first thing I noticed was the message above the fold:
Thank you In A Pikle for providing me with a product to review, free of charge. These are my own honest opinions.
It’s a classic example of the business owner using the power of word-of-mouth marketing by giving away the product to bloggers to review…
And it looks to have worked incredibly well!
Take a look at a few of the comments from the blog’s readers:
…and did you see how powerful that call-to-action was?
The blogger, Rachel, threw in the works:
With all the quality products the MLM industry offers, you shouldn't’t have any trouble getting positive reviews along with interested readers to your distributor link.
Here’s how to do it:
First, head over to Tomoson, and then click on “Send Products To Influencers” and then choose the category that best fits the products you sell:
You’ll then have a range of targeted blogs to choose from along with a wealth of stats and info:
When checking out blogs, look for some kind of “Sponsored Post,” or “Advertise With Us” page:
These pages will basically explain what the deal is:
Next, once you have done some homework and have a few blogs that you like, send the webmaster an email.
Something along the lines of this:
Hi [First Name]!
I just stumbled across [Blog Name], love your style and the products you review.
I actually sell [Topic] products and wanted to ask you about having one of them reviewed. I’m very interested and curious on the steps involved.
I’d be more than happy to send you over the product on the house. I could even work out some type of discount or giveaway for your readers.
Let me know if you’re interested.
Thanks! [First Name]
When you come to an agreement, send over your product. And when the post goes live, do what you can to promote it!
Pro Tip: Reach out to the founders, upline & leaders of your MLM and let them know about it. They can be a HUGE help with promotion.
*Optional Ninjitsu: Aside from product reviews, you could find blogs in the work from home / make money online space and write reviews about your business opportunity.
2. Dominate with Inbound Marketing
Entrepreneurs always work hard to create an innovative product or service, but often count on standard seller marketing for sales. But the reality is that sellers are no longer in charge of the customer buying process. Recent reports suggest that 90% of today’s shoppers skip marketing pitches, to research online before they buy, and over 50% check user reviews before making a decision.
Markethive is the first and only social network integrated with a powerful intuitive inbound marketing (automated marketing) platform. Built for the entrepreneur, small business, and network marketers. Markethive is totally free and generates it's revenue through advertising like Facebook and Linkedin. Markethive even returns up to half the advertising revenue back to the subscribers that join the affiliate program.
If tools like email autoresponders (better than Aweber even), blog platforms (makes WordPress even better), press release co-ops (Real PR.org professional releases) capture page widgets (plug ins for WordPress, simpleleadcapture.com, , plugins and pages, broadcasting tools (like Hootsuit), live conference rooms (like GoToMeeting), traffic portals (like Veretekk had) and additional arrays of powerful tools, workshops and mentoring webinars, interest you, then you need this platform! Not to mention a powerful affiliate program..
3. Social Funnel Engine
This Social Automation Software Solves 3 of The Largest
Problems SMBs Face with Social Marketing
This software is almost ready for release.
4. Attract MLM Opportunity Seekers and Customers With ‘Money’ Keywords
Knowing the general keywords that your target market uses is beneficial. But knowing the money keywords is profitable.
When you start using “buyer” or “joiner” keywords within your content, your sales and downline will skyrocket!
What are money keywords, exactly?
Buy ___ products online
How to became a ___ distributor
___ 3ree shipping code
Find a ___ sales representative
___ coupon code
These are used by people who have credit card in hand ready to buy. The types of people you want to attract!
But, in order to attract them, you first need to know the exact keyword phrases they use.
Here’s how to find out:
The first step is to fire up a keyword research. The one that I use is Market Samurai.
Head over to Market Samurai, enter your name and email, and then download the free trial version:
The next step is to connect Google Keyword Planner to Market Samurai.
Click “File” (top-left), then click “Settings” and add your Google Adwords email address and password.
If you currently don’t have a (free) Google Adwords account, then you’ll see a link to create one from inside the software:
Next, create a project.
Enter in the name of your MLM for the title and keyword, and then head over to “Keyword Research.”
For this example, we’ll check out Avon:
Next, click the “Generate Keywords” button. This will load up a list of keywords, which will usually take a minute.
Once it loads you up with keywords, click the “Keyword Analysis” button:
This is where you can get all the prime intelligence about the exact keywords that your target market uses.
With Avon being such a popular direct sales company, I was easily able to dig up loads of “buyer” and “joiner” keywords:
As you can see, Market Samurai provides you with lots of metrics, some of which are quite interesting.
You can find out what each one means by hovering your mouse over it:
Also, instead of researching your company’s name (which may not yield many results), try looking into the types of products you sell.
Which might be:
With this data, not only do you have the searchable keywords, but you can come up with solid content ideas.
There’s also a lot of network marketing tips on this list where your keywords will come in handy, such as:
Stalk forums and social sites (next on the list)
BuzzBundle (#5 on the list)
Google recon missions (#6 on the list)
Google My Business (#10 on the list)
Your keywords list is one of the most valuable resources you can have by your side. Without it, you would be taking a shot in the dark.
Markethive Keyword search and copy density control
Markethivehas a useful tool that tracks keywords then allows you to choose the keywords to control density in your blog platform as you write. Thereby allowing you to produce perfect keyword density in your content. Markethive is totally free and is the most powerful (and only Inbound Marketing Social Networks platform online at any price.
3. Stalk Forums and Social Sites For Laser-Targeted Prospects
As you probably know, there are lots of MLMs that do millions (if not billions) of dollars per year in product sales.
And, for most MLMs, potential customers and opportunity seekers need to find a sponsor to buy the products or to join the business opportunity.
Now, most prospects will search Google and head to the corporate website, but some of them will try their luck at the forums or social media sites.
Like this guy:
And this lady:
And what about this guy?
These are some laser-targeted prospects!
Here’s how to find them:
First, head over to your list of keywords and round up the questions that have a decent search volume.
For example, here are some questions with decent search volume that I discovered from the list of Avon keywords:
How to become an Avon rep
How to order from Avon
How does Avon work
Buy Avon products online
The idea is that if people ask these questions in Google, then they probably ask the same thing in forums and social sites.
Let’s find out…
This is a search engine that pulls up forums, boards, and Q&A sites.
Head over to Boardreader, enter your keyword, and then click “search.”
In the example below I did a search for “how does Avon work,” and found someone asking this exact question:
As it turns out, this particular person is looking at becoming an Avon rep to earn a little extra income:
This would be a great opportunity for you to jump in and provide an expert answer.
Tip: Try using quotes to get more specific results. When you put your search query in quotes, it tells the search engines to search only for the phrase.
With Google, you want to find people asking questions or seeking advice.
To do so, you can add the “discussions button extension” (Chrome only) or you can add this string to the end of your search query:
inurl:forum|viewthread|showthread|viewtopic|showtopic|”index.php?topic” | intext:”reading this topic”|”next thread”|”next topic”|”send private message”
You can also pull up fresh discussions by using the “search tools” feature:
This is also a great strategy to promote your content.
So you would find discussions that relate to your content and then share your expertise (and possibly your link).
Social Networking Sites.
Defiantly worth checking them out, especially Facebook.
You may even stumble across prospects looking for information on joining or buying product:
This is a perfect opportunity for you to personally help them out, and to potentially recruit them into your downline.
Now, finding the perfect MLM prospect is great.
But success with the recruiting and selling part will come down to your communication and the type of VALUE you offer.
Be polite, honest, and treat the discussions like you would in real-life business or networking relationship.
Overall, this is a great way to understand and network with your target audience which is what you should really be doing.
4. Get Your Buzz On With BuzzBundle
BuzzBundle is a piece of software that finds discussions based on your keywords.
You can use BuzzBundle to promote content, build your brand, and drive traffic to your blog.
First, head over to BuzzBundle and enter your name and email address to download a free copy:
The first thing you want to do is head over to “Search Safety Settings” under the “Preference” tab, and enable all of the “Human Emulation” settings.
This will stop the software from scraping search engine data too quickly or with too many queries (which may cause Google to start giving you captchas).
Next, click on “Add Streams”:
And then add keywords related to your content that of which you want to promote.
For example, if I wanted to promote this post, I would run with topics based around MLM training, tips, and strategies:
BuzzBundle will then find discussions that mention your keywords across a number of channels, such as:
Once finished, you’ll see your streams populated with posts about your topic:
Note: Once your 15 day trial period ends, you’ll be downgraded to the free version, which gives you 30% visibility on the streams.
The next thing you need to do is create a persona. This will be the identity you post under:
On the next page, fill out your registration details – username, password, email, and email password.
The next step is where you can include personal details such as date of birth, gender, location, “About Me” description etc.
Filling this section out is only necessary if you want BuzzBundle to create new social media and forum profiles for you.
Next, start connecting your existing social media accounts:
Choose the “Use Existing” option, and then add your account login details.
Now it’s time to get your buzz on!
Go through the streams and start looking for opportunities where you can engage in conversations or where you can share your link.
For example, this person is interested in MLM strategies:
So I would engage with this person and share a link to my post. I could head over to his blog and join the discussion and or I could reply with a tweet:
There’s a bit of a learning curve with BuzzBundle, but once you get on a roll, you can generate a lot of targeted traffic from all over he web.
5. Send Google On Recon Missions
The strategy above is great for finding your target audience on the go.
But what if there was a way to get notified whenever discussions about your topics arise online?
I have good news. There is!
Google Recon Alerts.
This is a free service that monitors the Web and sends you an email whenever it finds newly published content based on your keywords.
So basically, whenever someone mentions your company, products, brand, or whatever, you’ll get the heads up about it.
Here’s how to do it:
First, head over to Google Alerts and enter a topic that you want to monitor (examples listed below), and then click “Show Options”:
Next, adjust the settings to your liking, enter your email address and then hit the “Create Alert” button:
Now it’s time to get a little creative. Below are a few clever alerts that you can work with.
1. Brand name.
Monitoring your brand name will help you manage your online reputation as you can actively respond to whatever gets posted about you.
Whether people say good things or bad things, you can thank the good ones and address the bad ones.
Here are the alerts I use to monitor my website, brand, and name:
2. Upline and downline members.
In addition to monitoring your name, you should also keep an eye on your upline and downline (especially your downline).
If you get alerted about content they’ve published, their interactions or whatever, you can help them out – share their content, throw in a good word, etc.
Knowing that you’re supporting their work and that you’ve got their back will give them a great deal of confidence.
3. Question based terms.
You can monitor questions that get asked about your direct sales company, team, products or services.
If you get alerted, then you can be the first one to move in and provide an expert answer.
Below are alerts set to monitor Direct Sales-related questions. But you can replace “Direct Sales” with whatever you like.
How * Inbound Marketing
When * Inbound Marketing
Why * Inbound Marketing
What * Inbound Marketing
Will * Inbound Marketing
Is * MLM
4. Local area terms.
Some people prefer having a sponsor who lives close to them, and the same thing goes with customers looking to buy.
This can provide you with perfect opportunities to connect with those that live close to you.
For an example, if you were an Amway distributor based in Brisbane, Australia – then you would set alerts up like so:
Amway IBO Brisbane
Amway IBO Australia
Amway distributor Brisbane
Amway distributor Australia
5. Content topics.
If someone is discussing a topic that you have written about, then you can join the discussion and share your opinion (and possibly your link).
So in my case, to get alerted of people that would be interested in this post, I would set alerts up like so:
“network marketing tips”
“network marketing strategies”
“network marketing training”
“network marketing secrets”
“mlm lead generation”
You can also monitor your posts URL and or title. This way, you can thank those that have mentioned it:
“20 untapped network marketing tips”
The list goes on…
As you can see, there are tons of alerts that you can set up, it just comes down to getting a little creative and thinking outside the box.
One last thing:
You may not take too kindly to your primary inbox getting flooded with Google Alert emails…
So make sure you set up a separate folder to direct your alerts to, and then set aside an hour or so a week to go through them.
6. MLM Lead Generation Strategy (Share Content. Drive Traffic)
You don’t need to become a master at search engine optimization (SEO) in order to rank high in Google.
You just need to focus on creating great content.
The theory is simple:
It’s Google’s job to provide its users with the best stuff. So your goal should be to try and create the best stuff on the topics you choose.
So before you put pen to paper, do some deep research and check out what others have put together.
Not only to get a little inspiration, but to look for ways you can better improve on what’s already out there.
12. Hijack The Lists and Followers of Network Marketing Leaders
Content promotion is a biggie. In fact, most successful bloggers recommend spending more time on content promotion than content creation
Emailing your list and posting out to social sites is not enough. To get maximum exposure, you have to tap into the lists and followers of the leaders in your space.
Introduce your content to those who have shared something similar. Markethive does this in spades, it is a social network for entrepreneurs and delivers powerful tools, like their blog casting share tool. Find a group that shares your interests, or make a group and invite fellow entrepreneurs that share your interests and start a blog group. Markethive will publish your content into your WordPress sites as well. Very powerful stuff.
Here’s the step-by-step strategy:
Step 1: Find highly-shared content similar to yours.
Buzzsumo is a great tool for the job, it will show you the most popular content based on social engagement.
Head over to Buzzsumo and run a search on your topic.
For example, if I was to use this tactic to promote this post, I would search for network marketing tips:
As you can see here, there are lots of articles on my topic that have racked up a lot of social shares.
Step 2: Build a list of influencers.
Click the “View Sharers” button:
These are the people who will most likely share your content. After all, they’ve already shared something similar:
Next, open up an excel spreadsheet or Google Doc and start building a list of influencers Name, Twitter ID, and email address.
Be sure to go through all the articles that are relevant to the content you want to promote.
Once finished, you’ll have a spreadsheet with fistfuls of influencers who will most likely share your content, or at least be interested in it.
Step 3: Reach out to influencers
Time to get the word out…
The best way to contact influencers is to head over to their site and send a message via their “Contact Form.”
This template will get you started:
Hi [First name]!
I was on Twitter today and noticed that you shared a post by [Author Name] on [Post Topic]. Really enjoyed the read, [Author First Name] is a great leader in our industry.
I thought I’d reach out to you today because I have a similar post that I know you’ll like.
You can check it out here: [Naked URL]
I’d love to get your opinion on it!
Thanks! [First Name]
Pro tip: when it comes to email outreach, always make sure that your emails are personal, short, and to the point.
If you can’t find their site, then you can send them a Tweet.
Hey [@Name], just checked out [Post Name or Link], classic stuff by [Author First Name]! Here’s a similar post that I know you’ll like: [Link].
Just a handful of shares from these influencers can send you a wave of new visitors, which can then lead to more shares and more traffic and so on.
13. Hunt Down Link Prospects. Build Backlinks
A link pointing to your site is basically like a vote. The more votes you have, the higher you rank in search… or so they say.
Getting backlinks can be done using the same technique of getting social shares (tip #12).
First, Google your keyword and then grab one of the URLs.
For this example, I’ll grab the URL that ranks #1 for “network marketing tips”:
In this case, there’s 76 different sites linking to this particular page – which would be good start.
Repeat this process with other high ranking pages from Google until you have a large list of key link prospects.
Back Links Management
Markethiveis an Inbound Markrting platform and one of it's unique features is managing social accounts, websites, blogs, etc. that have a backlink. It monitors the backlink for integrity. The system will alert you when a backlink loses it's integrity and it is also a username and password vault and note taker for your many backlink accounts.
Viewing all Backlinks
Individual Account Management Panel
The next step is email outreach.
Now, keep in mind here, that you are sending a cold email asking these bloggers to replace a link in their article with yours.
It’s a tough ask.
There are tons of reasons why a blogger may or may not add your link.
But if your article is better than what they’ve currently linked to, then the odds of them replacing or adding your link will be a lot better.
Here’s a good script:
Hi [First Name]!
I was searching Google for [Topic] today and came across this post of yours: [URL].
I noticed that you linked to [Author Name] article on [Article Title]. Just wanted to give you the heads up that I created a similar one that is [Something Beneficial About Post].
You can see it here: [Naked URL]
Might be worth mentioning on your page as an extra useful resource?
Either way, keep up the good work with [Site Name]
Cheers, [First Name]
Tip: Make the extra effort to pre-engage with these bloggers (follow, comment, like their stuff etc.) before you send an outreach email.
The art of linking in a social networked inbound marketing platform.
Markethive is a social network for entrepreneurs. It is also the most advanced Inbound Marketing platform and offers a new proprietary Blog Casting feature that helps build massive white hat back links. Because it is a social network of entrepreneurs, it promotes and manages Co Promotion and tech that simplifies it.
Blog Casting by Markethive

Reaching literally millions of potential subscribers and customers as well as building 1000s of back links organically
14. Give Testimonials
Giving testimonials can get you some great exposure, and in some cases can get you a link to your website or to one of your social media accounts.
Let’s take a look at a few places where you can land testimonials…
The blogs you follow:
There are lots of blogs that will have a testimonials page…
…and some of which will showcase testimonials from their readers.
So whenever you’ve gotten results, value or success from a blog, consider sending a testimonial.
Direct sales companies:
MLM companies love showing off their testimonials and success stories. Landing one on your company’s main site can do wonders.
Some direct sales companies will even have a place where you can create a testimonial and/or share your network marketing success:
Most product creators will showcase testimonials on their sales pages, and some will even pull them straight from social media:
So whenever you buy a product, service, or anything else that you like, consider sharing your thoughts on social media.
Now, you may be thinking that businesses will only feature testimonials from the big-name-ers…
But make no mistake.
Some throw in testimonials from average Joes and Janes because it better matches their target audience.
Also, I wouldn’t start sending out testimonials just for the sake of trying to get featured on websites, as they have to be genuine.
Giving testimonials, sharing your results or success is one of those things to keep in the back pocket and do as you go.
15. Jump In On A Social Sharing Platform
One of the most easiest ways to build social proof, likes, shares, and followers is to jump in on a social sharing platform.
The way they work is simple:
You like/share/follow other members stuff and in return they’ll like/share/follow yours.
The platform that I run with is Markethive. Mainly because most of the users are into network marketing.
It’s really easy to use.
First, head over to Markethive and create a free account.
Markethive is a Social Network and Inbound Marketing platform. Now just start promoting your Markethive profile page and finding friends. The more you have the greater power your blog casting system becomes. No cost, no credits, just friends required. The simple, the easy, that’s Markethive.
Publish a Blog:
A Socialized Traffic Exhange
Now, head over to IBOexchange and create a free account.
Next, start building up some credits by liking and sharing other members stuff.
Once you have some credits, you can then start getting likes, shares and followers to whatever page you like.
Simply choose the page you want to promote and then set the settings to your liking:
Next, sit back and watch the traffic come in:
Defiantly worth having at least one of these platforms in your arsenal. Though it’s not something you would spend all day everyday on.
But it is a great way to get your business and content off the ground and to a good start.
18. Mention Influencers Within Your Content (and then reach out to them)
Mentioning influencers within your content helps build credibility and expertise in the eyes of your ideal market.
As it gives the appeal that you know and associate with successful entrepreneurs and or brands within your space.
Influences can also have access to HUGE audiences, and if you have given them a mention, then they’ll more than likely share your content.
So, whenever you include a product, brand, company, or leader within your content – let them know about it!
For an example:
After signing up to Sniply I ended up receiving this message:
This gives me an even better opportunity to give him the heads up about mentioning the tool.
So in this case, I would reply with something like this:
Subject: Mentioned Sniply at the Markethive
Really digging Sniply so far, it’s a genius idea. I’ve already mentioned it within these 19 network marketing tips: [link] (tip#6)
I haven’t put Sniply into full use yet, but when I do, I’ll be checking out those premium features you speak of.
If you’re sending a cold email, then here’s a template you can use:
Subject: New Post That Mentions You
Hi [First Name]
My name is [First Name] from [Site Name]. I’m a big fan of your work.
I just wanted to give you the heads up that I’ve published a post on [Topic] and included a [Mention, Link, Quote etc] from your [Post Name].
Here’s the post: [Naked URL].
If you have time, I would love hear your thought!
Thanks! [First Name]
When you share your post on Google+ you can also list out everyone that you’ve mentioned by adding a +TheirName tag.
This way, you can hit them ALL up with the one post:
This should get their attention because if they have notifications turned on, then they’ll get notified via email.
And they’ll also have that red bell icon light up:
Just like Google+, you can also get the attention of influencers you’ve mentioned by adding a @Username at the end of your tweets:
19. Intercept TV Advertising Traffic
Have you ever seen a “work from home” TV (or radio) advertisement? Well these ads (like most ads) send viewers to a URL address.
But here’s the thing:
Most viewers will type the URL address into the “search bar” and NOT the “address bar”:
Which means they’ll be presented with “search results.”
And even if they do land on the site (usually a landing page) they’ll end up hitting the back button to search for more information.
And, odds are, they won’t find anything.
Because if the ad is fresh or has not been around for long, then it’s unlikely that marketers in the niche know about it.
Which means…nobody has created content about it.
Which means…NO competition!
So by creating content on whatever TV (or radio) ad you may happen to stumble across, you can easily show up in search and intercept that traffic.
The shot below shows the monthly search volume of 2 work at home TV ads that ran a couple years back:
As you can see, that’s a good amount of traffic…
And it’s from people who have shown interest in making an extra income working from home.
Though, it’s not something you would go for, as the ads no longer run and lots of marketers in the niche have already created content on it:
The trick is getting in when the ad is fresh.
But how can you possibly find out whether or not these types of ads are even running at this moment in time?
More importantly, how can you find out when they’re about to start?
Before a business starts a TV ad campaign, they’ll create a landing page for the TV viewers to head to.
Well, I’ve noticed that most of them will include the phrase “As Seen On TV” within the title tag:
So you could set up a few Alerts (explained in tip #5) to get notified whenever these types of pages get published.
Alerts along the line of this:
Work from home “as seen on tv”
Make money online “as seen on tv”
Be your own boss “as seen on tv”
Make passive income “as seen on tv”
This tactic may be a little devious. But if you play it fair with the content you create, then it’s all good.
Also, aside from work from home ads, you could head over to AsSeenOnTV.com and review products within your space:
The goal is to find products that have high traffic and low competition.
If the opportunity comes and you correctly pull this off, then you may very well hit the jackpot!
20. Pull A PR Stunt
Yep… a publicity stunt 🙂
In the book Buzz Marketing, Author Mark Hughes reveals the 6 categories that create “buzz”:
Taboo (controversial, nudity, lie, etc.)
Pull anyone of these off and you’ll draw the attention of an entire industry to you and or your brand for years on end!
But let’s not go crazy here, this is just something to get you thinking, which is what I like about PR stunts – the ideas you can get from them.

Everyone is looking for information online today. There is an almost insatiable need for information that blogging can help to satisfy. You will gain much greater exposure by adding a blog to your IBOToolbox promotional efforts.
Optimizing your blog posts for search can do two things:
Creates information that your target market is looking for.
It feeds the search engines with content that can be ranked to that it can be offered to your audience.
Whatever promotional efforts you undertake, always remember the reader. Without knowing all of the complex aspects of SEO – (Search Engine Optimization), when your efforts are designed with the reader in mind, you will be following the Google guidelines and help your information to be found on the search engines. .
There are some important guidelines to follow in helping your blog posts to rank.
Step 1 – Keyword Research
In order to find words your target market may use to find information, use the following sources to check monthly traffic volume. Who wants to write content that no one is searching for, right?
Google Adwords Keyword Tool
Google each of these companies and you will find sites that offer both a free version, and in come cases, a paid version of their keyword research tools. Note: Google's tools are free, you just need to sign up for an account.
Instead of targeting a single keyword, try to use a variety of related keywords in a natural way as you write your post.
An example might be writing a post for the keyword phrase “chocolate”.
You might want to include phrases such as:
gormet chocolate, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, chocolate desserts, chocolate bars. chocolate milk, chocolate cake, etc.
Step 2 – Blog Post Title
It could be argued that the title is the most important piece of information your blog. This is the short snippet of information that will appear on the search engine results page.
If your content is appealing, but your post title is mediocre, chances are no one will ever see your content. If your blog post title is highly attractive, but your content is weak, the may click on the link to your post, but not read your post.
You need to sort of tease your reader to be interested enough to click on the post title to see more, such as the following examples.
10 Secret Recipes from the Kitchens of Chocolatiers
Mouthwatering Chocolate Desserts for Special Occaisons
5 chocolate recipies you will not be able to live without
Each of these titles uses a formula known for getting clicks, uses the keyword phrase, (or a variation, like Chocolatier).
Types of posts that attract clicks are:
Here are a few additional rules:
Keep it less than 65 characters
Use the focus keyword only once
Don’t stuff it with keywords
Keep titles in a natural, highly readable format.
Step 3 – Choose the name of the post file – the URL
Here are some theories about this.
One says you should use the complete title in lower case, with hyphens in between each word, like this.
Borrow This B2B Document Format To Help Your IBOToolbox Selling
In the course of human events and business evolution it’s not unusual for something to be successfully imported from one field of endeavor to another field that seems completely different. When paralleling the modern case study B2B document with some of the situations that home based business entrepreneurs encounter, there are definitely some uses for the case study format.
First of all, what is a case study?
A case study is a very commonly used B2B document, usually 2 page to 4 pages in length. It tells a success story about a company or individual who had a problem, looked for a solution, found that solution, implemented it, and achieved certain satisfactory results.
Put more objectively, that sequence would read thusly:
Challenge and Problems
Search and Solution
Companies use case studies in their marketing efforts for the simple reason that people like success stories. Companies have found that case studies, if written properly, transcend the normal Saleman/Prospect adversarial relationship and are well received by prospects who are eager to learn how others are solving the same problem they have. Case studies, if written well, read like an interesting story and are not generally perceived by the reader (i.e. the prospect) as a sales pitch.
One of the reasons case studies are so effective among consumers is because they work on consumer emotions while throwing in just enough facts to satisfy the prospect’s intellect and justify the emotional decision the prospect really wants to make. Consumers are very interested in reading stories about people who had the same problem they are having now. Customers really want solutions….not problems.
Even though the products and/or services written about in case studies may be different, the format generally remains the same or similar. It always describes the customer's problem, the solution he/she found, and the results he/she got.
So, think about how often you, as a home-based business owner or solopreneur, are called upon (or have the opportunity) to tell your story or the story of one of your team members or the story of your product or company?
It probably happens a lot, right?
People generally don’t like a ‘hard-sell’ (at least if they perceive that’s what’s happening)… but they do like to discover solutions on their own. And they also love success stories. So, if you can learn to tell a success story that suits your marketing purposes, everybody wins, right?
The point here is the parallel between the case study format in the B2B environment and how you might use it in your home-based business activities. This format is proven to work in B2B selling and it can be easily adaptable to a variety of the kinds of situations you encounter as you build your business (not to mention the obvious adaption in telling people how good your product/service is).
You can use this sequential, narrative, story-telling style to sell yourself, your company, your company’s product, your company’s opportunity, and (perhaps most importantly) success stories which prove that your opportunity is realistic.
The primary reason that this format is great for telling success stories of you and your team members is because the biggest question that’s going through people’s mind as you talk to them is (“Does this stuff really work?” and “Can I really do this?”).
Tell the right story…the right way… and you’ll open up your prospects mind followed by their checkbook and/or their distributor application.
Like most things, getting started is the most difficult of the actual encounter between you and a prospect. So, how might you start off a story talking about the success of one of your associates with your company?
You might start off by saying, “Imagine this…. a single mom… two kids, she works very hard in XYZ company.. At first she thinks she might succeed and really be financially successful but after a few years she realizes that…….”
What you’ve just done is describe ‘The Customer’… just like a case study does when the writer describes the ‘customer’ (i.e.of his client company). And of course, at this point the person you’re talking to might never suspect that the person you’re describing is you…or your immediate upline who just went full-time in your home-based business.
Then you would elaborate on the discontent this person felt. In traditional MLM training there is something somewhat similar called the ‘Feel – Felt – Found’ method, right?
So now you (e.g. the IBOToolbox associate) have finished painting a mental picture (i.e. telling the story) of The Challenge. Now you go on to describe… The Solution. In B2B writing that would be the company which commissioned the case study (if you’re a case study writer…it’s the company which is paying you). In your case the solution is you and/or the company, product, or opportunity you represent.
Next comes the description of the implementation of the solution/product/service. For IBOToolbox, that part of the presentation might say something like, “The very first thing Judy did after she joined online (for free) was to fill out her profile…and you know what? She was amazed at how many people in our community almost immediately reached out and congratulated her on the good decision she had made in joining our family!”
Note: what you’re doing here is displacing the vision of failure that most people have in their minds when they do anything new… with a vision of reassurance and community support (which is rather rare in the traditional job environment, right?).
Last but not least, you hopefully have some positive ‘metrics’, i.e. concrete examples of positive outcomes to the decision you are encouraging this person to make. You might say something like, “After Bill started using our products it wasn’t but just a few days before he actually began to experience the increased energy that he said he wanted. And when that happened, he became much more positive about sharing our products with some friends he knew who had the same problem that he had just solved.”
Or, even more relevant to what today’s opportunity seekers in the Direct Selling and MLM industry are looking for, you can talk about financial success. Be sure and tell the truth of course!.
Many people who work hard and treat their home-based business with the respect it deserves actually do experience financial success…keeping in mind that somebody making an extra $300 @ month working part-time in a home-based business are actually way ahead of the game financially compared to most of their co-workers ‘back at the office’.
So, that’s it. This format works and it’s very easy to remember and adapt to almost anything you might be selling whether it be something in your regular job, a product or service in your home-based business, or perhaps selling your opportunity itself.
Once again…remember: (1) Customer, (2) Challenge, (3) Solution, and (4) Results.
IBO Toolbox Ideal for Teaching Kids Entrepreneurship
“Lock the bloody door and don't let them back into the house”. “Wait a minute”, before you tell them to “hit the bricks”, ensure they don't come back to your home with their kids. How you ask? Simple, start when they’re young and introduce them to entrepreneurship so when they hit 18-years old their college fund is already secured and when they receive their sheepskin at graduation then, you can lovingly say, “you owe me 20-years back rent Mr./Ms. Mooch-a-meal”. Okay, the idea is to teach your kids how to generate consistent, predictable and long-term residual income through their own ideas, while avoiding the old trap known as a J-O-B. In fact, those J-O-Bs are gradually and increasingly being phased out through automation and other technological advancements; therefore, people have to become innovative to survive and adjust to the changing digital economy or become another victim of Economic Darwinism. Welcome to Brave New World and both the novel and author were accurate.
Traditionally families have been sending their children to university because of their belief in education and more importantly, post-secondary education teaches young people how to be financially self-sufficient. Unfortunately, higher education and its costs continue to escalate beyond the reach of the middle-class and those on the lower tier of the socioeconomic ladder. So, what options do parents have to give their children a better quality of life? Well, in a global economy that is based on information/knowledge designed to make things more efficient and most importantly, profitable for companies I suggest entrepreneurship/home business as the solution to the problem. Knowledge is P-O-W-E-R but, applied knowledge is P-R-O-F-I-T-A-B-L-E because a Solution to a problem generates a high monetized value for those who successfully provide an answer to a problem.
So, mummy and daddy as home business owners who are also, IBO Toolbox associates it’s only appropriate you start teaching the kids the “family business” because they are a long-term investment and you want to get your money’s worth. Now, the great thing about the IBO Toolbox marketing platform is that it contains an arsenal of tools and resources that make marketing easy and more importantly, affordable for the family budget. With all this activity you and your family cannot miss this ideal opportunity to both earn and learn on this new form of both education and ecommerce. Additionally, to better enhance your children’s chances for entrepreneurial success is to create a culture that instills important lessons that are required for upcoming entrepreneurial challenges they will face such as the following:
Financial Literacy, money is a science and something the schools don’t teach nor encouraged by government because both institutions want your child to be a worker not an owner.
Self-Discipline/Drive, consistent hard work (positive work ethic) is a vital quality for success and instilling this quality into your child is core to developing a Millionaire Mindset and not Poverty Mindset.
Teamwork, teaching your child cooperation with others is an essential component of their development in pursuing their goal of success.
Failure is part of the learning process despite feeling defeated and this mindset is part of your child’s ingredient to future success.
Innovation & Creativity, encourage your child to explore, question, create and solve questions that occupy their mind and seek resolution to their problem.
Self Confidence, believing in yourself is critical to overcoming challenges throughout life, which is best instilled in your child at an early child for obvious reasons.
Chores are Old School but, critical life lessons in teaching your child that work and reward are intimate partners.
Google, the world’s largest search engine has limited resources for teaching the young how to be successful….forget the IPhone then again, the kid may have an idea for a new app.
It’s all about providing solutions to problems. Increase your knowledge and skills with your current IBO home business opportunity that provides you the essential tools, training, traffic and collateral resources to operate a successful home business. I invite you to examine our information and eliminate any self-destructive conduct that would impede your growth and ability to guide your child into the world of entrepreneurship at Markethive
We keep hearing about the importance of understanding the concept of inbound marketing and how the old days of utilizing outbound marketing techniques have become obsolete. Everyday I am beginning to realize just how critically important inbound marketing really is. In hindsight, I’ve been utilizing a form of this technique for quite some time now as a young physician still at the beginning of my healthcare career.
No potential client wants to feel like you [the company] didn’t taken the time to research who the client really is, what the client really wants, and what the client is looking for. It is your responsibility as the “CEO” of your “company” to do your “due diligence” by first understanding what the goals of your company are.
Furthermore, people need to know who you are and what “certifies” you as an individual knowledgeable about whatever topic or product you are selling. This comes from a complete, professional profile page with a current photo of yourself, which includes your face. Think LinkedIn as a great example of what your company profile page (or individual profile page) should look like. It should also include educational background and certifications so that your audience has tangible evidence that you are knowledgeable in your field.
Once you understand the mission or goal(s) of your company (or yourself), then it’s time to determine who your potential clients are. Who or what are you selling? Who or what will be interested in your product (or you)?
Next, you will need to strategically figure out a way to “speak” to your targeted audience (i.e., your potential clients/customers). In theory, this should attract a growing audience/client base by providing them with useful, relevant, and specific information that is germane to whatever it is you are selling. Blogging is one way to accomplish this task. Using this method will attract your targeted audience/client base because you are providing useful, relevant, and helpful information to them in your blogs.
Once you have completed the above, you will realize that it’ll be a lot easier to market your products because you have established credibility through your professional profile page, which should include a current professional photo of yourself/company along with all relevant education/certifications. You will have provided useful, relevant content to your targeted audience and they are beginning to trust you because the information you are providing is deemed helpful to them. Because you are sharing your blogs over multiple social media platforms, your clients can easily find you online and any questions they may have about your credibility can be [for the most part] easily answered through a general online search of you and your company.
Finally, you may be able to acquire a small sample of individuals willing to try your product for free (or for a small fee). The key here is having those few individuals who have agreed to try your product show the rest of your target audience how well your product works. Social media can be a huge strategy for getting the word out about how well your product works on an impartial individual who has no direct interest in your company.
For example: You (or your company) are selling a skin cream that you believe will help with wrinkles and dry skin. Utilizing the above recommendations, this should give you and your company more credibility, visibility, and trust among your potential clients/customers:
1) Due Diligence for you and your company
-What are the goals/mission of your company?
-Who are you or your company?
-What do you [or your company] look like?
-Do you have a completed LinkedIn profile for yourself and/or your company (updated professional photo,
educational background, certifications, etc)?
2) Due Diligence for your targeted audience/clients
-Who are you marketing to (demographical information)?
–>Example: Women of all ethnicities and sexual preferences who are between the ages of 35 and 50 who are single and live in the Los Angeles area
-What are you trying to sell them?
–> Skin cream that makes them look younger
3) Start speaking to your target audience
-Create blogs that are specific to your target audience
–>Potential blog topics: What causes dry or wrinkly skin? At what age does our skin begin to wrinkle? Are there any differences in skin aging between men & women; or among the different races/ethnicities? Why? How?
-Create surveys or polls to get an idea of how many women (or men) have issues with dry skin/premature wrinkling, etc
-Eventually start creating campaigns showing the success of your product by those who have no interest in your company’s bottom-line
Please note that these recommendations are not by any means all-inclusive but it is a start in the right direction.
Think like a customer. Would you want to make a significant purchase from someone or some company that you know nothing about? Would you go see a physician who you know nothing about (at least with regard to qualifications/certifications)? Would you plan to have an elective procedure at a hospital or healthcare facility that you know nothing about?
What additional tips would you suggest to better market one’s self or business?
Do You have a business that you are running online.
You must already know:
The way people search for products/services on the Internet has changed drastically in the last few years. People are becoming more knowledgeable in the way they determine what they want to purchase. They look for compatibility, ease of response to queries, accountability, honest communication and an authority in the area of interest. The lesson to be gained here is to learn the difference between old time outbound marketing and the new paradigm of inbound marketing.
Outbound marketing is the process whereby the customer/prospect is disturbed and hindered in their normal operating process by such things as a telephone call, an unexpected email, a pop-up ad on a website that they were not expecting, etc. Whereas, Inbound marketing is just the opposite. You leave valuable content on websites where the customer/contact is normally hanging out. You are not bothering the customer/prospect because they are searching and hunting for information that you have provided. Today the area where the majority of people are hanging out and searching for ways to handle a problem is by way of Social Media platforms.
Read on to get help on 10 Laws you should observe if you plan to market on one or more Social Medial Accounts.
Leveraging the power of content and social media marketing can help elevate your audience and customer base in a dramatic way. But getting started without any previous experience or insight could be challenging.
It's vital that you understand social media marketing fundamentals. From maximizing quality to increasing your online entry points, abiding by these 10 laws will help build a foundation that will serve your customers, your brand and — perhaps most importantly — your bottom line.
1. The Law of Listening:
Success with social media and content marketing requires more listening and less talking. Read your target audience’s online content and join discussions to learn what’s important to them. Only then can you create content and spark conversations that add value rather than clutter to their lives. 2. The Law of Focus:
It’s better to specialize than to be a jack-of-all-trades. A highly-focused social media and content marketing strategy intended to build a strong brand has a better chance for success than a broad strategy that attempts to be all things to all people. 3. The Law of Quality:
Quality trumps quantity. It’s better to have 1,000 online connections who read, share and talk about your content with their own audiences than 10,000 connections who disappear after connecting with you the first time. 4. The Law of Patience:
Social media and content marketing success doesn’t happen overnight. While it’s possible to catch lightning in a bottle, it’s far more likely that you’ll need to commit to the long haul to achieve results. 5. The Law of Compounding:
If you publish amazing, quality content and work to build your online audience of quality followers, they’ll share it with their own audiences on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, their own blogs and more.
This sharing and discussing of your content opens new entry points for search engines like Google to find it in keyword searches. Those entry points could grow to hundreds or thousands of more potential ways for people to find you online. 6. The Law of Influence:
Spend time finding the online influencers in your market who have quality audiences and are likely to be interested in your products, services and business. Connect with those people and work to build relationships with them.
If you get on their radar as an authoritative, interesting source of useful information, they might share your content with their own followers, which could put you and your business in front of a huge new audience. 7. The Law of Value:
If you spend all your time on the social Web directly promoting your products and services, people will stop listening. You must add value to the conversation. Focus less on conversions and more on creating amazing content and developing relationships with online influencers. In time, those people will become a powerful catalyst for word-of-mouth marketing for your business. 8. The Law of Acknowledgment:
You wouldn’t ignore someone who reaches out to you in person so don’t ignore them online. Building relationships is one of the most important parts of social media marketing success, so always acknowledge every person who reaches out to you. 9. The Law of Accessibility:
Don’t publish your content and then disappear. Be available to your audience. That means you need to consistently publish content and participate in conversations. Followers online can be fickle and they won’t hesitate to replace you if you disappear for weeks or months. 10. The Law of Reciprocity:
You can’t expect others to share your content and talk about you if you don’t do the same for them. So, a portion of the time you spend on social media should be focused on sharing and talking about content published by others.
